4.1.1. Ways of expressing the possesive relation in the noun phrase

Spanish Sign Language (LSE) has at least three main ways to express the possessive relationship within the noun phrase:

  • attributive possessive pronouns referring to the possessor,
  • explicit possessive markers or connectors between the possessor and the possessum, and
  • juxtaposition of the possessor and the possessum, with no explicit marker.
