The 2021 & 2022 proceedings include a selection of papers presented in both conferences which will surely spark your curiosity about these issues and current research on the topics.
The 2021 annual conference was then held online and the topic chosen was “Interpreter 4.0: Towards a virtual reality? Challenging new connections and human relationships” and the title could not have been more fitting, as we had to deal with so much technical innovation and changes to and in the interpreting profession during the Covid pandemic.
In 2022, the global health situation was more promising; therefore, we could hold our annual conference face to face, in Manchester, UK. The topic tackled was “#Awkward”, encompassing all the situations we find ourselves in that make us uncomfortable in one way or another, as well as our fears of accepting work in those areas.
