This paper presents an analysis of ASL classifiers from syntatic and morphophonological point of view, and addresses issues related to the ways that classifiers can participate in expressing argument structure alternations in a morpho-syntatic way; and the wahs that "productivity" within classifier systems can be formalizade morpho-phonemically.
