While bilingualism is generally surronded by many misconceptions, Deaf bilingualism "remains a poorly understood topic". This article attemps to throw light upon everyday life and particularly routine language use in bilingual educational settings where Deaf students and Deaf and hearing teachers (and interpreters) communicate using Swedish sign language and Swedish.
