Detalles

This report looks at the history, background, current provision and current issues relating to sign language interpreting in Australia. It is the first such comprehensive study, and seeks to give an understanding of the field to the various individuals, groups and institutions asocciated with it. Sign Language Interpreting in Australia now has increasing public visibility through the media and live work of interpreters, but it is on the whole a field little understood even by many people who will use such interpreters.
