The chapter concerns a special group of bilinguals who form their own language minority: Deaf people. Often a neglected language minority, it will be demonstrated that many of the attributes of hearing bilinguals are shared by Deaf bilinguals. Different views about Deaf bilinguals are presented, followed by the debate about which kind of bilingual education is valuable for Deaf students.
