As part of the Open Learning Schedule, is a major step towards the notion of integrating the deaf and hearing sections of Irish society. Since it is an extremely difficult task for a deaf person to learn how to use Irish Sign Language. It is, therefore, a very useful tool for those hearing people who wish to take the first step toward integration.
